March 2020 will always be remembered by Americans. It’s the month where the pandemic slowly snuck into the Land of the Free and became louder with each passing day. It left its fingerprints on our society by taking away from our “normal” routine. Stores were emptied. Schools were closed. Events were canceled.
Like many others, our Lifeway family replaced commuting from their houses to the office to commuting from their bedrooms to their kitchen tables, with a pit stop at the coffee maker to pick up the caffeinated gold.
Although the method of how we arrived at work was different, Lifeway’s mission never changed. Lifeway exists to honor God and serve churches by designing trustworthy experiences that fuel ministry. Our mission remains the same—even through the hard days, the painful days, and the unknown days. We’re here to serve God, the church, and you. We don’t take that honor lightly.
As we connected with and listened to women leaders during this time, we began to realize that the need for leadership resources is greater than it has ever been before. These women were doing the messy yet meaningful work in their church and community. Although there were the obvious hurdles of not being able to resource women in-person through You Lead, a one-day leadership event that takes place in cities across the country before Going Beyond Live and Lifeway Women Live. So we thought maybe we could give a free (yes, you read that right—FREE) sneak peek of this event accessible to anyone with a streaming device and Internet connection.
To meet that need, we launched You Lead Webinars. Kelly King, manager of Magazines/Devotional Publishing and Women’s Ministry Training, hosts a panel that consists of three trusted and experienced ministry leaders. These panelists are Lifeway Women trainers who teach at our You Lead events. On some webinars, we even have a guest speaker and giveaways! Each webinar has a different topic that the panel will cover, along with some polls and Q&A time. Some of the topics we have covered include: Building a Team, Girls Ministry, Prayer, Mentoring, Theology for Every Woman, Discipleship Pathways, Outreach and Evangelism, Working with Men, and Ministry Wives.
Are you curious about what the future webinar topics will be? I’ll give you a sneak peek into our topics for the rest of 2021!
